Dear Colleagues!
In 2026, our university, NRU MIET, will host the II International Conference «Functional Chalcogenides: Physics, Technology and Applications» (FunChaPTA-2).
Chalcogenide materials have always been one of the priority research areas both worldwide and in our country. The discovery of semiconductor properties in chalcogenide glasses, made 70 years ago by Б.Т. Коломиец and Н.А. Горюнова, marked the beginning of practical applications of amorphous semiconductors. Subsequently, outstanding scientists such as С.Р. Овшинский, Ж.И. Алферов, Э.А. Лебедев, Н.Ф. Мотт, and К.Д. Цэндин made significant contributions to the development of chalcogenide physics and technology. At our university, research in the field of disordered systems has been conducted since 1968 under the guidance of В.М. Глазов.
